Sometimes a child may demonstrate delays in development arising from known problems such as prematurity or a difficult birth. Sometimes a child just seems to be lagging in their development. These delays may show up in motor skills, or language. When a parent or preschool teacher recognizes that a child is having a harder time, Drs. Wasserman believe that early intervention is the most beneficial way to address a child's needs to make certain they can reach their full potential.
Dr, Ted Wasserman and Dr. Lori Wasserman have trained and practiced in early childhood assessment extensively. Both have gone through Brazelton training to assess infants and have been involved intensively in Early Childhood through the Zero through Three program. We believe that early intervention is key to helping a child reach their full potential. They have written and presented about early childhood development nationally.
Drs. Wasserman are able to provide comprehensive evaluation of infants and toddlers in motor development, receptive language, expressive language, cognitive and overall processing abilities. We provide parents with a thorough understanding of their child's developmental status, intervention recommendations and follow up services which can include ongoing teaching for parents in fostering activities that promote the development of their child. and addressing behvioral concerns where needed.
